30 Days Thrifted

Happy Ethical Fashion Month! To celebrate, we’re sharing a fully thrifted outfit every day in April. Did you know that the average consumer throws away 70 pounds (31.75 kg) of clothing each year? Wearing preowned garments helps break the discard-obsessed cycle of fast fashion and keeps our wardrobe dollars out of the hands of companies using sweatshop labor to create garments.

Follow along to see a new look every day (featuring our fave ethical accessories from Tuli’s collection, of course!)

DAY 1

These velour culottes are unique and so fun. We found them in a thrift store in Tokyo and paired it with an oversized shirt coat and Tuli’s Lee necklace. Since two oversized statement pieces need some balancing out, we added a crop top and pumps. Obsessed!

DAY 2

It’s been a chilly spring, so the wintry hues present in this look paired with the dainty floral print on the corduroy pants felt appropriate. We polished off the look with our Sydney bracelet and Savannah ring.

DAY 3

If you say it’s been a chilly spring one day, the next will be warm, right? (I may start saying that daily just to hurry along the sundress weather!) Our third look features this thrifted, floral sundress and our Domenique bracelet.

DAY 4

This minidress was such a fun find! It has some major ‘70s vibes and went perfectly with our model, Anastasia. We added our Sela earrings for even more color.

DAY 5

Don’t be afraid to shop the men’s department too, like we did for the flannel in this mixed-pattern 90s throwback look. Peep the new Fiona necklace and Rowan brackets from our spring collection!

DAY 7

Worldwide, about 250 million children are forced to work in unsafe factories to make our clothes. The ethical fashion movement is demanding change, but in the meantime, a girl’s gotta get dressed, right?

Buying thrifted clothing is a way to divert spending away from exploitative companies. And, many thrift stores support local causes like homeless shelters and animal rescues.

DAY 8

Documenting outfits for a month straight helps you see patterns and it turns out I’m big into a cropped shirt with an oversized coat. This suede jacket was a score!

DAY 9

I usually frequent stores like Goodwill, but if you want a matching set, a high-end resale store is the ticket. This crop and matching skirt is universally flattering and universally borrowed by my friends.
